| Mission Statement | Since 2017, Achieve provides paid work experience and job training for neurodivergent people (people typically on the autism spectrum, with ADD/ADHD or similar disabilities) in southern rural Colorado. Programming enables participants to obtain and maintain meaningful employment, becoming contributing members of the community while promoting acceptance and tolerance. Primary programming is a seasonal food trailer (in BV) providing hands-on work experience to a yearly average of 17 participants under the tutelage of trained mentors. Achieve is expanding programming to a year-round brick and mortar coffee shop (in Salida) providing both job training in the form of internships as well as permanent employment for this special population. |
